Palmyra man in charged in fatal 2018 Fluvanna County crash

Virginia State Police Trooper K. Anderson charged a Palmyra man Wednesday in a 2018 fatal Fluvanna County crash. Jeremiah D. Hasher, 41, was charged with reckless driving for failure to maintain control.

The crash occurred May 5, 2018 at 4:26 p.m. on Route 250 at the intersection of Route 631.

A 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle was traveling north on Route 631 and pulling onto Route 250 when it was struck by a 2006 Ford F-250 pickup truck. The impact of the crash caused the pickup truck to run off the right side of the highway and overturn.

The driver of the Chevelle, Joshua S. Lamb, 21, of Troy, Va., died as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash. He was not wearing a seat belt.

The driver of the Ford, Hasher, was transported from the scene for treatment of minor injuries. He was wearing a seat belt.
