Justin Anderson to have surgery on broken finger, out 4-6 weeks

justin andersonUVA guard Justin Anderson will miss four to six weeks after going down with a fractured finger on his left hand in the first half of the third-ranked Cavs’ 52-47 win over #9 Louisville Saturday night.

Head coach Tony Bennett announced late Saturday that Anderson will undergo surgery on Sunday.

Anderson, a 6’6’ junior, is Virginia’s second-leading scorer, averaging 13.4 points per game, shooting 48.0 percent from the field and 48.4 percent from three-point range and playing lockdown defense in 29.4 minutes per game.

Anderson was injured late in the first half and did not play in the second half of the game, finishing with two points on 1-of-9 shooting from the field in 16 minutes.
