Harrisonburg man injured in Greene County motorcycle crash

policeVirginia State Police Trooper A. Tunnell is investigating a single-vehicle crash in Greene County. The crash occurred Sunday (Nov. 25) at 4:20 p.m. on Route 33, less than a mile east of Skyline Drive.

A 2002 BMW motorcycle was traveling south on Route 33. As it came into a curve, the motorcycle ran off the right side of the highway, went into the ditch and struck several large rocks.

The motorcyclist, John L. Everett, 66, of Harrisonburg, Va., was thrown from the motorcycle. He was transported to UVA Hospital for treatment of serious injuries. He was wearing a helmet.

Everett was charged with failure to maintain control/stay in travel lane.
