Staunton Schools will host its first annual Back-to-School Bash on July 21 and 22 from 1 to 6 p.m. at Staunton High School.

Students can get free school supplies, backpacks, immunizations for rising 7th graders and 12 graders, free haircuts, clothing, shoes, books to take home, hygiene products and food.

“This event is all about preparing our students and families for a strong start to the school year. It’s a reflection of our commitment to kindness, caring for their overall well-being, and making sure our students and families feel supported and confident heading into a new school year,” Nate Collins, Staunton Schools Executive Director of Student Services, said.

Community partners and organizations will be available with information.

School registration assistance will also be available.

All families are welcome. Registration is required online.

Waynesboro Schools has hosted its own Back-to-School Bash for the last few years, and the event has been successful in providing much needed support and resources for families and students.
