The Greater Augusta area is under a Winter Weather Advisory from the National Weather Service through 10 a.m. Friday.
Snow, sleet and freezing rain are expected to overrun the region through the overnight hours, with possible accumulations of snow and sleet of up to 1 inch with a few-hundredths of an inch of ice accumulation from the freezing rain.
The precipitation is expected to transition to rain by mid-morning Friday.
