The Robert Jospe Quartet next in the Custin Jazz Series

Robert JospeThe Custin Jazz series will present the Robert Jospe Quartet on Saturday, March 9.  The 8 pm performance will be at WTA’s Gateway at 329 West Main.  The performance is partially supported by a grant from the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

The Robert Jospe Quartet features Drummer Robert Jospé, who is well known to jazz audiences nationally.  He leads a fabulous quartet with the wonderful Laura Ann Singh on vocals, legendary guitarist Royce Campbell and one of Virginia’s finest bassists, Rusty Farmer. “A Night of Jazz and Blues” features the quartet playing classic jazz, blues, ballads, fusion and original compositions interpreted in their own unique style. Their 2012 performance at WTA’s Gateway guaranteed a return visit.  The audience was excited by the quartet’s fresh repertoire, fine musicianship and group chemistry.  The quartet promises another night of outstanding music.

The Custin Jazz Series is a monthly event at WTA’s Gateway.  It brings regional and national jazz performers to local audience.  Of special interest is the appearance of Paul Reisler and A Thousand Questions on June 8, 2013.

Advanced tickets are available online at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the box office at 540-943-9999. Remaining tickets are available at the box office on the evening of the show.  Doors open at 7:30 for the 8 pm performance.
