Friday, Sept. 11 – MARK CAMPBELL. Waynesboro’s native son and acclaimed Old-time Virginia Master Fiddler. Mark is dedicated to preserving and passing down the old fiddle and banjo tunes of this Appalachian region. Music begins at 6:15. No cover charge. Space limited. Call for seating availability.

Tuesday, Sept. 15 – Fall Fiction Series Book Review – WOMEN PULITZER JOURNEYS. The problem that Carol Shields addresses in The Stone Diaries: To what extent do “our” stories really belong to us, considering the tendency that other people – parents, spouses, children – have to intrude in them, interpret them, claim them? 7:00 p.m.; Free Event at Stone Soup Books and Café. Book available for purchase at Stone Soup Books and Café.

Friday, Sept. 18 – SCRUFFY MURPHY – A mixture of high-energy, up-beat Irish music and entertaining songs that involve the audience, whenever possible. FUN, a sure thing with Scruffy Murphy. NOTE: Music begins at 6:30 p.m. No cover charge. Space limited. Call for seating availability.

Saturday, Sept. 19 – “Going LOCAL” Series – Celebrate LOCAL Food, LOCAL Hauntings & LOCAL History though Lunch talks, Heritage hikes & Sharing stories! Sept 19 from 12:30-2:30 –Saturday Sustainability Lunch Talk. Presented by Chris Gray – A radical anthropologist looks at food radically. Lunch Included $25.

Friday, Sept. 25 – PAM WARD and the GRASSY RIDGE Old Time String Band – Old-time mountain tunes by folks from the Valley whose families have been picking and singing for generations. Another wonderful evening of “the real thing!” Music begins at 6:15. No cover charge. Space limited. Call for seating availability.

Monday, Sept. 28 – The Return OF VINE & VERSE… Poetry Gathering & Sharing at Stone Soup this Fall. This gathering is for anyone who loves poetry or wants to love poetry. Bring a Poem to share! Buy a glass of wine and enjoy listening! Free event. 5:30 p.m.
