Homewood Suites by Hilton coming to Charlottesville

newspaper-headerGround was broken today for a new Homewood Suites by Hilton at 2036 India Road.  Scheduled to be completed in April 2014, the upscale extended-stay hotel will be a four-story, 110,000 square-foot facility. The Hotel will have 149 studio and one-bedroom suites all with living areas and full kitchens.  The facility will also offer a fully-equipped fitness center, indoor pool & spa, sports court, 24-hour executive business center and flexible meeting space.

Scott Goldenberg, of Heritage Hospitality Management, Inc., operator of the new Homewood, said “we are excited to bring this luxury Hilton hotel to the Charlottesville area and feel guests visiting the Charlottesville/Albemarle area will be impressed with all of the amenities Homewood Suites has to offer”.  This property will be part of the growing Homewood Suites brand formed in 1989 under Hilton Worldwide, which now has more than 400 hotels in the U.S., Canada and Mexico. Homewood Suites by Hilton has received the prestigious JD Power and Associates award for “Highest guest satisfaction among Extended-Stay Hotel Chains” three years in a row.

Heritage Hospitality Management, a partnership of the Dahl and Goldenberg families, based in Staunton, owns and operates the Hilton Garden Inn of Charlottesville. They also own and operate Hampton Inns of Staunton, Waynesboro and Lexington as well as the award winning Residence Inns by Marriott of Harrisonburg and Waynesboro.
