The Shenandoah Valley Spay/Neuter Clinic is offering free spay/neuter surgeries to dogs and cats adopted from the new Shenandoah Valley Animal Control Facility.
The Clinic would like to encourage Shenandoah Valley residents to adopt their next pet from the Animal Control Facility. “We hope that offering a free spay/neuter surgery will be an incentive for people thinking about adopting animal to do so from the Animal Control Facility. The rate of euthanasia could be reduced if people chose to adopt rather than buy,” said Cate Mansfield, executive director of the Spay/Neuter Clinic.
The program called “A Second Chance” is available to all cats and dogs adopted from the Shenandoah Valley Animal Care Facility through December 2011.
The Clinic offered a similar incentive, “A New Home Package” last year with great success at Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA. “I am very proud of the programs we can offer, last year we covered over $3,200 dollars worth of services from this project,” said Mansfield.
The Shenandoah Valley Spay/Neuter Clinic is a 501(c) 3 organization that provides high quality, low cost spay and neuter services along with low-cost vaccinations. The Clinic is committed to ending the preventable euthanasia of cats and dogs in the Shenandoah Valley.
