Augusta Free Press LLC is in charge of sponsorship sales for the 2012 Chili, Blues n’ Brews Festival, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 22, in Downtown Waynesboro.

The sixth annual festival features a performance by Grammy-nominated blues artist John Lee Hooker Jr. and a chili cook-off with competitors from across the United States.

“Sponsorship packages start as low as $100,” said Crystal Graham, the vice president of Augusta Free Press LLC, and the lead staff person from AFP on the festival project.

The current lineup of sponsors includes the City of Waynesboro, Coors, Lumos Networks, nTelos Wireless and Sam’s Hot Dogs.

Proceeds from the event benefit Waynesboro Downtown Development Inc.

“This is a great way to support what we’re trying to do downtown and also be an important part of a great event,” Graham said.
