The City of Waynesboro is looking to give tourism-related events and projects a BOOST through its grant program, Building Opportunities to Support Tourism.

Funds are for events or endeavors taking place in Waynesboro from now until June 30, 2025. BOOST grants assist local tourism partners by enabling them to expand their marketing reach beyond the local area and continue to grow their events.

Businesses and organizations are invited to apply for up to $3,000 to support eligible activities for associated marketing, design and printing costs associated with outreach to Virginians at least 50 miles outside of the city.

“Tourism plays a vital role in Waynesboro’s local economy,” says Stephanie Duffy, assistant director for Waynesboro Economic Development & Tourism. “We are excited to offer the BOOST grant program once again to provide support for event organizers as they continue to grow and improve their programs which drive visitation to Waynesboro.”

Full details and requirements of the grant are included in the application which is available for download on the city’s website.

Completed applications are due by noon on Friday, Aug. 2. A committee will review the applications and make determinations for grant awards by Aug. 12.
