Grace Christian School opened its 2026-2027 school year on Thursday at its new location, the campus of the former Beverley Manor Elementary School – marking the first time in 30 years that students from preschool through the 12th grade are together under one roof.

“This is a moment we have prayed for, worked toward, and anticipated for a long time,” said Jan Ingram, chair of the Grace Christian School Board of Trustees. “Today, we get to see the vision become reality as our youngest students and our oldest walk through the same doors. We are incredibly grateful to God and to the many people who made this day possible.”

The Board of Trustees put $3.5 million into the purchase and renovation of the school campus about a mile west of the city limits of Staunton.

The high school moved to the location in January.

The renovation work is still ongoing – per a release from the school, the third wing and gym remain to be renovated.

“Our location has changed, but our mission has not,” said Don Larson, the Head of School. “For nearly 50 years, Grace Christian School has partnered with Christian parents by providing a sound academic education in a Christ-centered environment designed to prepare our young people to know God and to live in obedience to His will for their lives. Bringing preschool through 12th grade together gives us an extraordinary opportunity to strengthen that mission and build an even greater sense of community.”
