Charlottesville: 15-year-old girl shot overnight, police seeking suspect

Charlottesville Police are investigating a shooting on Hardy Drive overnight that sent a 15-year-old girl to the hospital.

According to a release, the report was called in at 1:51 a.m.

The victim was transported to UVA Hospital, and was in stable condition, at last report.

The suspect is believed to have fled the area in a black Kia sedan with tinted windows and a pink fuzzy steering wheel cover.

This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
