The Festival of Trees

A chance to take home a beautifully-decorated Christmas tree and contribute to the efforts of AMC Hospice of the Shenandoah is on tap for Friday and Saturday at Fairfax Hall in Waynesboro.
The first annual Festival of Trees will begin with a gala reception set for 6-10 p.m. Friday. The auction of Christmas trees decorated by Hospice volunteers will begin at 8 p.m. Friday.

Entertainment will be provided by Donna Riley and harpist Virginia Bethune, comedian Marsha Howard and jazz singer Llyn Walker accompanied by pianist Liz Barnes.

The schedule Saturday is for a Family Day set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by storyteller Barbara Spilman-Lawson and the bluegrass group Doug and Donna Riley and The Spring Hillbillies.

Tickets for Friday’s Gala Reception are $25 per person, which includes two free raffle tickets. Saturday’s Family Day event tickets are $5 per person and can be purchased at the door. Children under 12 will be admitted free and must be accompanied by an adult.
