A program-record-tying three UVA Football players were named ACC Football Players of the Week for their performances in the 34-17 win at Duke this past weekend.
In alphabetical order, Fisher Camac was named Defensive Lineman of the Week, Trell Harris was named Wide Receiver of the Week, and J’Mari Taylor was named Running Back of the Week.
A total of 17 ACC Football Player of the Week awards this season have been awarded to UVA Football players, matching a single-season program record set in 1996.
Camac and Taylor each earn the weekly honor for the first time while Harris collected his second of the year (Sept. 22, Nov. 17).
D-Lineman: Fisher Camac
Camac, a senior transfer from UNLV, had six tackles (three solo), two sacks, 2.5 tackles for loss and five QB pressures in the win at Duke.
Joining two-time D Lineman of the Week winner Mitchell Melton, it marks the first time since 2011 and sixth time ever two different Cavaliers have won defensive lineman of the week in the same season.
For the season, Camac has been on the field for 335 snaps, with 4.5 sacks and 15 QB pressures, and he has a 77.0 Pro Football Focus grade.
Wideout: Trell Harris
Harris had a career day on Saturday with eight receptions on nine targets, 161 yards receiving and a touchdown against the Blue Devils.
The 161 yards were the most by an ACC receiver this week and the sixth-highest single-game total of any ACC receiver this season.
Harris became the first Cavalier wide receiver with at least 150 yards receiving since Malik Washington against Louisville in 2023.
Harris’ third reception of the game, a 29-yard catch in the second quarter, marked the 100th of his career.
For the season, Harris has 51 catches on 68 targets, 766 yards receiving, five TDs, and a 77.4 PFF grade.
Tailback: J’Mari Taylor
Taylor rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries in the victory on Saturday. He added four receptions for 25 yards to record his sixth game this season with 100 or more all-purpose yards.
He broke a 78-yard touchdown run late in the third quarter to put UVA up 31-3.
The 100-yard rushing performance was his third of the season, and the two-TD game was his fourth multi-rushing TD game of the season.
For the season, Taylor has 917 rushing yards, which leads the ACC, and 13 rushing TDs, which also leads the ACC, and a 74.4 PFF grade.
