UVA Football coach Tony Elliott, like every other head coach in America, is doing his best to get his team through various and sundry injury issues.

The good news this week: center Brady Wilson, his highest-graded offensive lineman, is back, as is left tackle McKale Boley, who has been in and out of the lineup the past couple of weeks.

Also back: tackle David Wohlabaugh, who has not been on the field this year for the ‘Hoos.

Wideout Cam Ross, who was knocked out of the 22-20 win over Washington State this past weekend after taking a cheap shot on a second-quarter pass attempt, was back in practice on Tuesday.

Quarterback Chandler Morris, who reinjured his left shoulder after taking a late hit in the first quarter, is a go, as are tailbacks J’Mari Taylor and Noah Vaughn.

“We will probably modify J’Mari’s contact level, which we would do with anybody that’s banged up,” Elliott told reporters at his weekly press conference on Tuesday.

The most significant guy out: Xavier Brown, the backup tailback who was injured on special teams in the Washington State win.

“Don’t know the extent, still waiting on the scans to come back. I know the X -rays were positive, but you still gotta do the MRI to see exactly with the soft tissue,” Elliott said.
