UVA Batten School hosts Charlottesville mayor, vice mayor

university of virginiaThe graduate student-run journal Virginia Policy Review welcomes Mayor Mike Signer and Vice Mayor Wes Bellamy of Charlottesville City Council for the talk “The History that Fuels Local Government Action.”

The hour-long discussion is free and open to the public, lunch will be provided.

Signer is a lecturer at the Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy and the UVA Department of Politics. He was elected to Charlottesville City Council in 2015 and elected Mayor of Charlottesville in January 2016. Bellamy is the Vice Mayor of the City of Charlottesville. He was elected to Charlottesville City Council in 2015 and is the founder of Helping Young People Evolve (HYPE), a local nonprofit organization.
