uva basketballThe UVA men’s basketball team is fifth in the AP and coaches polls this week. The Cavaliers (11-0) rose a spot in the AP poll, switching places with idle Wisconsin, after posting a pair of wins last week, 70-54 over Cleveland State on Thursday and 76-27 over Harvard on Sunday.

Virginia held its #2 ranking in the ESPN Basketball Power Index and rose a spot, to #2, in the KenPom.com college basketball rankings, trailing consensus #1 Kentucky in both power rankings.

The ‘Hoos are also second, behind UK, in the Jeff Sagarin ratings index.
