Sunday NCAA Charlottesville Regional schedule altered

Contributors

CWSBecause of a forecast for inclement weather on Sunday, the schedule has been altered for the third day of the NCAA Charlottesville Regional.

The updated Saturday schedule:
11 a.m. – William & Mary (home team) vs. Virginia
3 p.m. – East Carolina vs. W&M/Virginia winner

The NCAA’s primary goal is to play games according to the published schedule [two games on Friday, two games on Saturday, two games on Sunday and one game on Monday (if necessary)]. This schedule change affords the teams the best chance to complete both games Sunday.

The Davenport Field ticket windows open at 9 a.m. Sunday, while gates open at 10 a.m. There are no ticket refunds or exchanges as the normal UVA rain policy is not in effect for postseason play.

All games in the regional will be broadcast online on ESPN3. WINA 1070-AM and 98.9-FM also will carry the Virginia game.

Fans are encouraged to sign up for a text messaging service to stay updated on date and time changes. To sign up, text UVABASE to 79516. Standard text messaging rates apply.
