Jim Webb: PAC money ‘screwing up the political process’

Chris Graham

jim-webbJim Webb was a solid U.S. senator who didn’t exactly embrace what it took in terms of money to get elected. Now a presidential candidate, Webb is decrying the role that money plays in the race for the White House.

“The challenge that we have right now in the current political environment, money dominates the process like it never has before,” Webb said in an interview with MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday.

Webb said super PAC money is “really screwing up the political process,” and that the basically unregulated money from super PACs is having a negative impact on his ability to get his campaign message out.

“I don’t believe that super PACs are ethically supportable concepts,” Webb said.
