A mural will go up on the side of the Harrisonburg City Public Schools central office building this weekend.
Local muralist William Snyder will begin work on the “Intertwined” mural on Saturday at 8 a.m.
The mural will depict a tree with 10 branches, one for each school in the division.
In June, students and staff members created leaves that will be included in the mural.
Art students, the Governor’s STEM Academy and the Fine Arts Academy collaborated with Snyder on the design.
The work should be completed on Sunday, weather permitting.
The mural project is funded by The World is My Classroom initiative.
