Former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor to speak at UVA on Friday

cantorThe Frank Batten School of Leadership and Public Policy hosts former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor at UVA for a guest lecture entitled, “The 2016 Presidential Campaign and the Economic Growth Agenda.”

Cantor was elected by Virginia’s 7th congressional district in 2001 and served in that position until 2014. A Republican, he became the House Majority Leader in 2011 and was House Minority Whip for two years prior.

He was the highest ranking Jewish member of Congress in history and represented areas of Richmond and portions of the Shenandoah Valley. He currently is the vice chairman of Moelis & Company, a global investment bank.
