Qualifying businesses include organizations facilitating activities such as fairs and festivals, as well as marketing (including social media applications), design and printing services. “This is one of the many ways we’re focusing on partnering with our tourism operators to reinforce the City of Waynesboro as an outstanding destination for guests and a great place to live, work and play. Offering unique events for our citizens and introducing new visitors to our amenities is a top priority, and we want to ensure that the organizations responsible for coordinating local events and festivals have the support they need to offer enhanced services and promotions,” says Jenny Carter, Assistant Director for Economic Development and Tourism. “We’re excited to see the creative ideas and unique events these organizations will be submitting for consideration.”

The grant application, available on the City’s Economic Development website atwww.waynesborobusiness.com, is listed under the “Data Downloads” section of the homepage.  Completed applications are due by 5pm on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the Tourism Office.
