Charlottesville: United Nations of Comedy tour returns to the Paramount Theater

The United Nations of Comedy tour returns to the Paramount Theater in Charlottesville on Saturday, Nov. 16 at 8 p.m.

The tour features national comedians seen on HBO, Comedy Central, BET, Netflix, Hulu and more.

This year’s lineup includes a hysterical array of national comedians: Jordan Rock, Paris Sashay, Anthony DeVito and Funnyman Skiba.

The tour was founded to promote diversity through laughter and focuses on choosing the perfect blend of national comics by selecting an eclectic mix of styles.

Jordan Rock

Jordan Rock is the youngest brother of comedy icon Chris Rock, but Jordan has built his career by placing brick by brick on his own, landing recurring roles on Love Life Season 2 on HBO Max, Big Time Adolescence on Hulu and Love on Netflix. He has become one of the hottest comics in the New York comedy club scene.

Paris Sashay

Paris Sashay is a comedienne, actor, writer and producer from Washington, D.C., currently residing in New York. She is an experienced storyteller with an infectious laugh, wit and style. She has performed at the Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal and had appearances on Comedy Central, Pause on HBO Max and BET 50 Central. Her comedy special Unprotected Sets is available on EPIX, produced by Wanda Sykes.

Anthony DeVito

Anthony DeVito is a NYC-based comedian. He’s appeared on CBS’ The Late Show with Stephen Colbert; Comedy Central Stand Up Presents: Anthony DeVito; Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party; was one of the new faces at the 2012 Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival; has been on This American Life; AXS TV’s Gotham Comedy Live; and was the 2015 winner of Caroline’s March Madness. His debut album, Dream Occupation, is available from Comedy Central Records. In addition to stand-up, he was a writer on Netflix’s The Break with Michelle Wolf, wrote for the 2018 White House Correspondents Dinner, and was a writer/regular panelist on MSG’s People Talking Sports and Other Stuff. He has appeared on TV Land’s The Jim Gaffigan Show, HBO’s Pause with Sam Jay and is a favorite on Sirius XM’s Bennington.

Funnyman Skiba

Funnyman Skiba is the host comic of the United Nations of Comedy Tour and is a BET Comic View All-Star with one of the most legendary appearances on the national network. He has also co-hosted a hit radio show with national broadcasting. This will mark his 15th visit to Charlottesville.
