Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton & Augusta County announced the promotion of two dedicated team members who have consistently demonstrated excellence in serving area youth and local community.

Alexis Dearmon has been promoted to program director to director of operations. In her new role, Dearmon will oversee operations across all club locations, ensuring programs and services are delivered effectively and consistently.

A graduate of Mary Baldwin University and a current master’s degree student, Dearmon has been instrumental in the success of various initiatives. Starting as an intern and joining the staff full-time in August 2023, her expanded leadership is expected to further strengthen the organization’s capacity to provide enriching experiences for club members.

Christian Del Hoyo, also a Mary Baldwin University graduate, has been promoted from youth development professional to program director at the Staunton location. Del Hoyo has played a pivotal role in creating a positive and supportive environment for youth at the club, and his innovative approach to program development will now guide operations at the Staunton site. His dedication to the organization’s mission makes him a strong leader in fostering growth and development among young members.

“Alexis and Christian’s leadership has been helpful to our growth, and their new roles will be instrumental as we expand our impact across the region. I am confident in their growth within our leadership team to help lead us into the future as we continue to serve even more youth in our communities,” Debra Freeman, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of Waynesboro, Staunton, and Augusta County, said.
