BC dean named ‘Outstanding Professional’

Bridgewater College’s Dean of Students William D. Miracle was recognized as the “Outstanding Professional” in the state by the Virginia Association of Student Personnel Administrators at the annual Virginia Student Services Conference (VSSC) held Nov. 20-21.

The “Outstanding Professional” award is presented to an individual who exhibits a concern for students, shows exceptional judgment and creativity in addressing current issues in higher education, is an active leader and effective administrator on campus and has significantly enhanced the field of student affairs in Virginia.

Two hundred student-affairs professionals from across the state attended the conference at Wintergreen Resort. Miracle served as co-chair of the Conference Planning Committee and is president elect of VASPA for 2009.
