5 inches or more of snow possible Tuesday in Shenandoah Valley?

Contributors

snow-plow-headerThe national weather service has issued a Winter Storm Watch for Waynesboro, Staunton, Augusta County and much of the Shenandoah Valley for Tuesday with a forecast calling for 5 inches or more of snow.

The storm is expected to arrive late Monday night and remain in the area through Tuesday evening. The heaviest snow is expected Tuesday morning through midday Tuesday.

An added danger to the storm is the forecast for temperatures to drop through the day Tuesday into the teens with wind-chill values around zero.
