Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance and local businesses will support and show appreciation for veterans on Sunday afternoon with a parade on Main Street.

The parade will be held on Sunday at 3 p.m.

The public is welcome to come downtown to celebrate and honor past and present veterans.

The procession will leave from the Rockingham administration lot and end at City Hall.

“It is very meaningful to us to host the parade and show our gratitude for the men and women who have served,” said Jennifer Bayes, HDR events manager. “I especially love the time before the parade begins, when we get to chat with the participants and hear about their service and connection to the community.”

The non-profit Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance invites all veterans, veteran organizations, clubs, civic organizations, companies and individuals to participate in the parade. All parade entries should display a patriotic theme and honor veterans. Use the entry form linked here.
