Harrisonburg Tourism and Visitor Services along with local partners including; Rosetta Stone, Harrisonburg’s International Festival and Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, have created a passport to savings with discounts and special offers to highlight the City’s diverse eateries the weekend of Harrisonburg’s International Festival, Saturday, Sept. 26. The six participating restaurants’ will also receive, courtesy of Rosetta Stone, one copy of a single level CD-ROM Edition of the Rosetta Stone Version 3 Level 1 plus Audio Companion in any language.
The partners expect that uniting flavor and cultural as a promotion will have a positive economic and social impact for our dining partners. Encouraging visitors and the community to try (taste) something new reinforces our community identity and promotes preservation of cultural heritage. Our combined effort to embrace local businesses and facilitate understanding among people is part of the broader mission of the Harrisonburg International Festival, a free day of family fun that celebrates the many cultures that make up our community.
The participating restaurants include Taste of India, Blue Nile Ethiopian Cuisine, Mrs. Hardesty’s Tea Room, Xenia A Kebab Grille, Dona Rosa, and L’Italia. Passports to savings, offering discounts and special offers, are available in limited quantities at the Hardesty-Higgins House Visitor Center.
