WTA’s Gateway will host the fourth round of the Open Mic Talent Night Competition on Thursday, March 28 at 7 pm. The prize for the winner will be a $50 cash prize and a chance to participate in the final competition in June. Winner of the final round will receive a contract for a paid-performance at WTA’s Gateway or the Wayne Theatre and a professional produced video for posting on websites and Facebook.

Actor Ryan Clemens, relative of Mark Twain (penname of writer Samuel L. Clemens) will bring his show Meet Mark Twain to WTA’s Gateway on Friday, March 22. His performance brings to life the celebrated American author and demonstrates that Twain’s wit and wisdom remain poignant and laugh-out-loud funny today, more than a century after his passing. The performance is at 7:30 pm. The Gateway is at 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

Kevin Chisnell has booked Roddy Barnes for a “rare and exclusive “evening at WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, February 16, at 8 pm. The River City Radio Hour moves into new territory in February. Samuel Johnson returns, Cathy LaFon joins the Boogie Kings, Manfred Martin shares his Vegas connections, Angel Love considers her options and Marsha Howard deals some new jokes. Richard Adams has packed his February Variety Show with talent. New to the Gateway audience will be the bluegrass band Bourbon Barrel Congress, whistling sensation Den Frumen and 10 year-old flat foot dance Nathan Aitcheson. Joining them will be the King of Rock ‘n Roll. The Richard Adams Variety Show is on Friday, February 8 at 7:30 pm. The performance is at WTA’s Gateway, 329 West Main in downtown Waynesboro.

The Staunton Downtown Development Association was recently awarded a Main Street Improvement grant valued at $25,000 to fund a temporary performance stage with lighting and amplification in The Wharf.
