P.A.C.’n the Streets is a family affair celebrating the 100th birthday of The New Theatre (a.k.a. the Dixie) in Downtown Staunton. The festivities, presented by the S.P.A.C.E. (the Staunton Performing Arts Center experience), will take place on the block of East Beverley Street between New and Market Streets on Saturday, September 14, 2013 from 10 am to 5 pm.

If you’ve got the music, the 2013 State Fair of Virginia has the stage. Fair organizers are accepting applications from Virginia-based performers for the event’s local music venue, the Triple Crown Amphitheater at The Meadow Event Park. One-hour slots are available on each day of the fair’s 10-day run.

Audiences at WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, June 29, will listen to the winners from the last six Gateway Talent Nights and crown the winner in the grand finale. Hosted by Lorie Strother, the Dreaded Blues Lady, the performance will feature eight performers who were selected by Gateway audiences as the best performers in the monthly Talent Nights. The winner of the final round will receive a cash prize, a professional video and a paid gig at WTA’s Gateway in the Fall.
