Sophie SuleskyRichard Adams celebrates his new season by moving to a new night and bringing out the ‘big guns.’

Having presented the Richard Adams Variety Show on the Second Friday of the month, Adams decided to move to the First Friday of the month to give his show the advantage of being the performance that opens the month.  For the September 6th performance, he has assembled an array of talent that will amaze, astound and astonish and complement his zany style.

Joining Adams are four outstanding talents.  Tapping into the hearts of the Variety Show audience will be 10 year old Sophie Sulesky.  The Amazing Monticup will entertain with his ability to read minds, guess birthdates, numbers, objects and other things thought of by the audience.  They will be joined by Valley musical veterans William Hayes and Buddy Thomas.  Hayes’ wizardry on the keyboard has earned him a loyal fan base and Thomas’ stylish guitar playing and songwriting has given him a special place in the Valley Musical Hall of Fame.  Adams promises the line up will bring joy to all.

Also on the Variety Show agenda will be an update of the Richard Adams’ Dooms Day Festival and the audience participation event “You Can Be the Weather Guy.”  Adams will also explore “What’s up with the Chinese buying Smithfield Hams?’

Co-hosting with Richard Adams will be his preeminent sidekick, William Martin who has give up his candidacy under the coffee ticket.

The season’s first Richard Adams Variety Show is at 7:30 at WTA’s Gateway.  Doors open at 7 pm.  Tickets are $9.99 in advance and $12 on the day of performance.  They may be purchased on line at www.wtagateway.com or by calling the box office 540-943-9999.  Remaining tickets will be available on the night of performance.
