The Waynesboro Symphony Orchestra will hold its annual Symphonic Masquerade fundraiser, titled “An Evening on the Water,” on Friday, Oct. 30 at The Paramount in Downtown Charlottesville.

This year’s Symphonic Masquerade sets sail with sweeping film scores and beloved concert classics — from the grandeur of Strauss’s “Blue Danube Waltz” and Handel’s “Water Music,” to the cinematic power of Horner’s “Titanic Suite,” Williams’ “Jaws” and Silvestri’s “Cast Away.”

Maestro Peter Wilson will lead the concert, which will feature world-renowned cellist Jennifer Kloetzel performing Whitacre’s “The River Cam” and celebrated baritone Kevin Bennear singing Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Some Enchanted Evening” and Mancini’s “Moon River.”

In addition, the orchestra will perform Rodgers’ “Victory at Sea” as well as swashbuckling music from “Pirates of the Caribbean.”

Tickets are on sale now and may be reserved online at www.theparamount.net.
