Waynesboro YMCA raises $13K at charity golf tournament

merv wootenThe Waynesboro YMCA has put the capper on another successful Merv Wooten Invitational golf tournament. The Y raised more than $13,000 for programs and scholarships at the tournament, held at the Waynesboro Country Club.

The event was sponsored by Bowman Family Dentistry and Weaver Insurance & Financial Advisors.

“Our thanks to the folks at Bowman, Weaver and all of the other businesses and individuals who made this event a success,” said Jeff Fife, the executive director of the YMCA.
