Despite four hits from red-shirt freshman Will Knight Tuesday night, Radford defeated VMI 7-5 in non-conference action. The Keydets recorded a season-high 16 hits on the evening, but left 13 runners on base.

Red-shirt sophomore Josh Hollifield has been swinging a hot bat recently. He was 6-13 in four contests last week, for a .462 average, a .533-on base percentage and a .615 slugging percentage. For the season, he leads the team with 10 doubles, is third with 17 runs scored and tied for second with 16 RBI.

Junior Zak Kent earned his second Southern Conference Pitcher of the Week honor after a steller performance against ETSU Sunday. The right-hander tossed eight scoreless innings, striking out 12 Buccaneers. Kent was masterful with runners on base, stranding 11 Bucs and working out of bases-loaded jams in the fifth and sixth. His record stands at 4-2 on the season with a 3.31 ERA and a conference-best 81 strikeouts in 54 1/3 innings.

Wofford took two of three from VMI last season in Lexington, winning the rubber match 12-10 in 11 innings.
