Chris Graham

Vienna Boys ChoirThe world-renowned Vienna Boys Choir will present a special performance at the Wayne Theatre in Waynesboro on Friday, March 29.

Tickets for the 7:30 p.m. show start at $42.

“This will be a special night at the Wayne,” said Tracy Straight, the executive director of the Wayne Theatre, now in its fourth year of operation.

“The Vienna Boys Choir has performed at Carnegie Hall and all over the world. We feel privileged to have them coming to our stage to perform for Waynesboro,” Straight said.

The enormously popular choir is actually comprised of four separate ensembles of boys between the ages of 10 and 14, performing before an estimated half-million people around the world each year.

The Vienna Boys Choir traces its history back to the 15th century, and has worked over the past 500-plus years with famed composers including Mozart, Bach, Beethoven and Schubert.
