UVA basketball to host ESPN College GameDay on Jan. 31

college-gameday-325x325ESPN College GameDay Covered by State Farm will make its first appearance at UVA in Charlottesville at John Paul Jones Arena on Saturday, Jan. 31, prior to the Saturday Primetime presented by DIRECTV telecast featuring No. 2 Virginia’s game with No. 5 Duke. Tipoff at JPJ is scheduled for 7 p.m.

ESPN’s College GameDay, the network’s signature college basketball pregame show, begins at 10 a.m. on ESPNU before airing on ESPN from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. An evening edition will lead into tip-off of Virginia’s ACC showdown with Duke.

Admission and parking will be free for all fans attending the national pregame show Saturday morning. Gates will open at 9 a.m., and all seating at John Paul Jones Arena is general admission.

ESPN’s College GameDay Covered by State Farm features analysts Jay Bilas, Seth Greenberg and Jay Williams, and host Rece Davis on the eight-week Saturday morning and evening program that originates from the site of ESPN’s Saturday Primetime Presented by DIRECTV telecast. Bilas will also serve as analyst for the Virginia-Duke game, alongside Dan Shulman and reporter Shannon Spake.
