Threat of rain moves UVA baseball celebration to John Paul Jones Arena

uva celebrationThe UVA baseball NCAA Championship Celebration has been moved to John Paul Jones Arena due to the threat of inclement weather this afternoon in the Charlottesville area.

The event will be held at its previously announced time from 6-7 p.m. Admission and parking for this event are free. Doors at John Paul Jones Arena will open at 5:30 p.m.

The Virginia baseball team finished the season with a 44-24 record. In addition to winning the NCAA championship, the Cavaliers were the 2015 Lake Elsinore Regional and Charlottesville Super Regional champions.

A highlight video will be shown on ‘Hoo Vison at 6 p.m.  The 2015 team will then be introduced and head coach Brian O’Connor and several players will address the crowd.  A complimentary commemorative celebration card will be distributed while supplies last. The event will conclude at approximately 7 p.m.

Free parking will be available in the John Paul Jones Arena and University Hall parking lots.  Virginia baseball merchandise will be available for sale at Team Store at JPJ and food and beverages will be available to be purchased at the select concourse concession stands.
