Staunton: Work resumes on Johnson Street Parking Garage

Contributors

staunton newRepairs to the Johnson Street Parking Garage resumed today, and customers should expect parking restrictions in portions of the garage over the next four weeks.

The restrictions will be in effect while finishing touches on the garage renovation project are completed, including painting, top coating and concrete work. Much of the work remains on the top deck. The garage will remain open while repairs are occurring; however, customers should look out for directional signs and follow parking restrictions. Parking restrictions will be temporary and may change daily.

The City began an extensive renovation of the garage last May and closed the garage for seven months during the renovation. The City partially reopened the garage last December with a plan to complete the renovation in the spring, once weather conditions were more favorable for the remaining work.

While the City expects work to be finished by mid-May, the project’s completion is contingent on weather.

Glenn Youngkin desperately wants a job in the Trump regime, for a reason that I can’t put my finger on: Youngkin has a net worth of $400 million, most of that his equity in the ghastly private-equity firm he led before he ran for governor in 2021.
