Staunton offers cardboard collection beginning Sept. 12

staunton virginiaBeginning the week of Sept. 12, Staunton Public Works will be offering ongoing cardboard collection for recycling two days each week in the Central Business District.

Those wishing to participate should be aware of the following:

  • Collection days will be Monday and Thursday.
  • Cardboard must be folded flat and kept separate from regular trash items.
  • Cardboard will not be accepted for recycling if mixed with regular trash, but will instead be collected with regular trash items.
  • All other recyclable materials, including glass, metal, aluminum and plastic, will also be collected for recycling on Monday and Thursday in the CBD.
