The Briscoes’ rivalry with Kevin Steen and El Generico in 2007 helped define Ring of Honor. This particular match was their third in a series of six, pitting the two teams in a Boston Street Fight. Five hundred-some-odd fans watched both teams descend into complete chaos in the small, intimate Roxbury Community College gymnasium.

The three matches that followed this would also possess unique stipulations: a steel cage match, a best-two-out-of-three falls match, and their famous ladder wars match. Still, this Boston Street Fight feels like an emphatic end to a blood feud. It feels like the world is on the line.
Given the unsanctioned nature of the match, the world tag team titles cannot change hands. For Steenerico, this match serves two purposes: (1) to maim the Briscoes and (2) to earn another title opportunity.
There’s a reckless abandon here that is patently absurd. All four men were young, hungry, and willing to do anything to create something unforgettable.
