The top two matches on the bill for tonight’s AEW “Dynasty” pay-per-view (7 p.m. ET “Zero Hour,” 8 p.m. ET main card) are worth the streaming price all on their own.

Maxwell Jacob Friedman, MJF, the AEW world champ, defends against former champ Kenny Omega, in a rematch of a 2023 match on a “Collision” show in which Friedman defeated Omega.

The other match, which I am more looking forward to, is FTR, the AEW tag champs, defending against Adam Copeland and Christian Cage, the seven-time former WWE tag champs.

The build to FTR vs. Cage & Cope dates back to last summer, when Cope & Cage scored a win at “All Out” in September, but the FTR guys attacked the duo, and Copeland’s wife, Beth Phoenix.

The delay in Copeland getting revenge was forced by him needing to take time off to film Season 3 of “Percy Jackson and The Olympians,” but he’s back now, and it feels like we’re due for a Cope & Cage win and title run.

With MJF-Omega, we’re going to get a good technical match, a series of near-falls, at least a couple of kickouts that seem to defy fate, a run-in to distract Omega, and MJF winning with his Heat Seeker piledriver.
