Post to join Bridgewater College as vice president for enrollment management

bridgewater collegeFollowing an extensive national search, Bridgewater College has selected Michael Post to join the College as its Vice President for Enrollment Management.

Post, who joins Bridgewater after nearly a decade of experience in enrollment management, will begin on July 1, 2018. He comes to the college from Mount St. Mary’s University in Maryland, where he is Vice President for Enrollment Management. During his time at Mount St. Mary’s, Post has made great strides in enrollment management, recruiting the six largest freshmen classes in the university’s history.

“I’m confident we have selected an enrollment leader who will build upon our past successes to recruit and retain a diverse, accomplished and growing student body,” said Bridgewater College President Dr. David Bushman. “Michael’s past successes prove him to be the right choice to lead our offices of admissions and financial aid. I look forward to partnering with him as we shape the Bridgewater College of the future.”

“I was drawn to Bridgewater because of its unwavering commitment to student success, and, from my first visit, BC felt like home,” said Post. “I look forward to working with the entire community to continue the excellent work of enrolling and graduating phenomenal students.”

“Michael Post has been an outstanding, valuable member of the Mount community over many years,” noted Mount St. Mary’s University President Dr. Timothy Trainor. “I know he will excel at Bridgewater College, and everyone at the Mount wishes Michael and his family the best in their transition.”

Prior to joining Mount St. Mary’s, Michael worked in residence life at the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Shippensburg University. He received a Master of Science in Counseling from Shippensburg University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mount St. Mary’s.

Bridgewater College is a private, four-year liberal arts college located in the Central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Founded in 1880, it was the state’s first private, coeducational college. Today, Bridgewater College is home to more than 1,900 undergraduate students.
