A new poll from Public Policy Polling has Donald Trump still up 10 points on the rest of the Republican Party presidential field, though there is slight slippage back toward the pack for The Donald.
Trump was at 27 percent in the poll, down slightly from his 29 percent in a late August PPP poll. Ben Carson was up slightly, to 17 percent, from his 15 percent showing in late August.
The rest of the top five was Marco Rubio at 13 percent, Jeb Bush at 10 percent and Ted Cruz at 7 percent.
Carly Fiorina, who had been enjoying a bit of a post-debate bounce in other polls in recent weeks, was at just 6 percent in the new PPP poll.
Digging inside the numbers, Rubio is the only candidate who can claim any bit of momentum, rising from a 7 percent showing in August, with a strong 57/24 favorability rating.
