Police hunt for motorcycle operator in Newport News road-rage shooting

Virginia State Police is on the hunt for the operator of a black motorcycle that shot at another vehicle in an apparent road-rage incident in Newport News last night.

The VSP bureau of criminal investigation Chesapeake field office is asking for the public’s help with information in the 11:04 p.m. shooting on Interstate 664 northbound.

According to police, the driver of the motorcycle shot at the victim’s vehicle after being involved in a road-rage incident with a third vehicle. The incident happened near Roanoke Avenue.

The victim was not injured, but the vehicle was struck by gunfire.
