People Places Inc. announced that it has hired Lisa Columbo as the regional director for its Staunton office.
Columbo is currently the branch director for the Harrisonburg office of DePaul Community Services. She brings to People Places more than 20 years of service to children in foster care working in both private and public agencies.

She is respected in the field and understands the issues that Therapeutic Foster Care and Adoption face today,” stated Doris Moore, executive director for People Places. “Lisa shares our value of doing what it takes to meet the needs of the children and the families we serve.”

Columbo has worked for 11 years with DePaul’s TFC program. Previously, she worked for eight years with Tri Area Foster Families (TAFF) in Charlottesville.
Columbo earned a B.A. from James Madison University with double majors in business management and sociology. She graduated from VCU with her master’s degree in social work in 2001.
