lgo_mlb_baltimore_oriolesErrors by Chris Davis and Bud Norris opened the floodgates to a five-run Boston Red Sox sixth, and that was the difference as the Baltimore Orioles fell to the Sox, 5-1, on Wednesday.

Davis misplayed an Alejandro De Aza grounder to lead off the sixth, and then Norris flubbed a bunt by Sandy Leon.

Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia followed with RBI singles, and David Ortiz added a two-run homer to chase Norris (2-6), who went five and two-thirds innings, giving up five runs, all unearned, on seven hits, striking out three and walking one.

Clay Buchholz (5-6) notched the win, giving up a run on eight hits in seven innings, striking out seven and walking one.
