A JMU Football portal recruit was arrested a couple of weeks ago after posting a video to Instagram that showed him hitting another person after a verbal disagreement.

The scholar in this one: KD Mosley, a tight end who transferred in from Howard.

Mosley was arrested on two counts of assault and battery, and one count of possessing a fake ID.

Mosley, listed at 6’3”, 235, was on the field for 601 snaps in his two seasons at Howard, with 19 catches on 36 targets, 238 receiving yards and three TDs across the two seasons, and Pro Football Focus grades of 53.2 in 2024 and 52.3 in 2025.

The incident in question took place on Feb. 7, according to court records – two weeks after JMU Athletics announced his addition to the roster for the 2026 season.

Media reports have JMU Athletics acknowledging only that department is aware of an incident involving a student-athlete, and that the department is “addressing it according to department and university policies and procedures.”

Kinda weaselly there.

Mosley is set to appear in Harrisonburg/Rockingham General District Court on Feb. 23.
