International travel in the United States is strong and tourist arrivals are increasing each year. Last year, Harrisonburg Tourism and other Shenandoah Valley DMOs partnered with Capitol Region USA (CRUSA) to promote the area’s travel destinations as a region to travelers visiting the DC, Maryland and Virginia areas.
CRUSA is the official regional destination marketing organization promoting DC, Virginia and Maryland internationally. Their mission is to have more oversees travelers staying longer and spending more money in our local communities.
This past summer, CRUSA and Brand USA created a video filmed along the Skyline Drive. The story was promoted to the French traveler and highlights the friendly-city of Harrisonburg as well as the heart-pumping adventure of cycling in the area.
