To benefit the Vector Industries transportation program, Blue Ridge Lumber presents the first annual Innovative Refrigeration Systems Inc. Golf Tournament, which is set for Thursday, April 25, at The Club at Ironwood in Staunton.

Check in will begin at 8:15 a.m. with tee off scheduled for 9:30. Lunch will follow the tournament.

The event will raise funds for the transportation program offered by Vector Industries, a non-profit based in Waynesboro, that trains and employs people with diverse disabilities to enable them to reach their potential as productive community members.

“All of us at Innovative Refrigeration Systems are very excited to support Vector Industries in furthering their success and growth in their unique mission. We are ready to tee off this exciting fundraising event,” said Innovative Refrigeration Systems Inc.’s Michael McGinnis Jr.

There is still time to form a team, join as a sponsor or donate to the silent auction to support the cause.

“We are so pleased that our two main sponsors, Innovative Refrigeration Systems and Blue Ridge Lumber, understand the challenges that people with disabilities face each day. Vector Industries offers wonderful job opportunities but realizes the need for reliable transportation to and from work,” said Chrissy Johnston, CEO of Vector Industries. “That’s why we provide transportation to those who cannot drive due to a disability. If you run into someone from either of these businesses, please thank them for their support of such a worthy cause.”

For more information on the upcoming golf tournament, contact Chrissy Johnston at Vector Industries at (540) 943-8444 Ext. 301, or email Johnston at [email protected].
